The Story of The Flower Moon
A underrated story in the 1920s in Oklahoma.
One Massacre After Another
A “under-talked” story about the Osage Indian murders.
Times are coming back where I can spend my time at home and dedicate to be able to do something fun and relaxing again. (In some cases). One of my favorite things to talk about ever since senior year of high school was the talk about films. And recently, I want to try to do a news letter about talking about Films I’ve recently watched and blog about them. In this most recent time, I’ve watched one of 2023 Best Pictures, “Killers of The Flower Moon”. And here is my review of the film after watching it. I can delve into sharing thoughts about the film.
The story of the film is based on a true story on the the Osage Indian murders that actually took place during the 1910s-1930s. Martin Scorsese had definitely has chosen a good project to work on to get this film in full set. With many people talk about the lengthy three and a half hour run time people may think that it is a long walk to walk to watch this film. And I will be one to sat that this film in particular actually felt like it had a great pace. If I was to forget about the three hour run time, I would say that it felt less than that. And I don’t usually say that for films that hit the three hour mark.

Overall the whole pacing of the film was great and for the most parts all the scenes felt like they have meaning to them. As far as acting, each actors really give such strong performances each moment felt realistic and felt as they were one with the moments. If I was going to share my favorite performance for this film, I would turn over to Lily Gladstone. With a prerogative personality, she knows the power she has as a woman that had to be selective for those who surround her. As beauty shows in her, she plays as a wise person whom gets hurts throughout the film with family tragedy. Without going into heavy spoilers, I think that was the biggest highlight of the film.
Evidently, this film is Martin Scorsese’s passion project. And while a passion project doesn’t have to be the most famous or shiny story, it can sometimes be a story that doesn’t range each individual taste. The way, I’ve interpret this film as a powerful story about the criminals who made bad deeds.
